Mill Street Pond is stocked with trout by the Chemung County Sportsmen’s Federation, Horseheads American Legion, Horseheads Police Benevolent Association, private individuals and the Horseheads Youth Bureau. Mill Street Pond is a magnet for young anglers. Because of recent “over-fishing”, the Village has restricted fishing to youth ages 15 and under, and agencies or organizations representing disabled or handicapped persons. Such organizations must receive a permit from the Village for their group. There is a picnic area with a pavilion and charcoal grill.
