New Yorkers love their parks, as demonstrated by the thousands of volunteers who are willing to help maintain the beauty of New York’s treasured state parks and historic sites. Friends groups and volunteers are more important than ever to keep parks beautiful, clean, and welcoming for all to visit and enjoy.Volunteers from across the state participate in cleanup, improvement, and beautification events at New York State parks and historic sites each year.PTNY, in collaboration with OPRHP, and the NYS DEC, coordinates the event on the statewide level, providing outreach, promotion, technical assistance and a how-to organizer’s kit for Friends groups to use for their individual events. Adult COED Kickball League - Adult Coed Kickball League Come play the childhood game of KICKBALL! Games will be played on Thursday nights at either the Holding Point Recreation Complex or Sullivan Park at Thorne Street. When registering a team, the person who registers will be the team representative. The Horseheads Parks and Recreation office will only be communicating with the team representative throughout the season. Registration is $100 per Team. Coordination of schedules and equipment will be provided by recreation office. Acquiring any team sponsor, players, and uniforms will be up to each individual team. Team representative meeting will be held April 24th to discuss the season and any revisions in last year’s rules. Last year’s rules are below in additional form/files. Meeting location and time will be emailed to the team representative once registration close. The number of games a team plays will be dependent on field availability and number of registered teams. Regular season will run from May through July, with playoffs starting in August.For more information regarding our Adult Coed Kickball League, please email us at parsrec@horsehead.org.
