Basketball, Youth Boys

Please check back in October for info regarding our 2026/2027 Season!

The boys division is separated into three leagues; Grades 3-4, 5-6, and 7-9. Typically practices/games are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional Fridays. Time slot that each league will typically play is:

                 Grades 3-4   6:00-7:00pm or 7:00-8:00pm
                 Grades 5-6   7:00-8:00pm or 8:00-9:00pm
                 Grades 7-9   Please see notes regarding this program                    

These time slots are subject to change due to availability of gyms. When possible programs will be scheduled earlier.

Team Practices

1st Team Practice - Coach will contact you with the time and location.
No Practice and/or Games will be held when school is not in session or should the HHS School District close due to weather

General Information

  • Classifications may be combined and/or adjusted if participation numbers are insufficient.
  • Practices and/or Games will be played on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays: 6:00p, 7:00p, and 8:00p (times may vary depending on school site). Occasional Friday games will be played.
  • Coaches and Game Officials are needed. If interested contact the Horseheads Recreation Department; 607-526-5213; parksrec@horseheads.org. Volunteer Application Form is located below under the "Additional Forms and Files:" section.
  • Registration deadline: Registration closes 11/19/25 or when full.
  • Refunds for this program will not be made after the first week of games.
  • Any request for your child's basketball registration must be made during registration. (Request are not guaranteed but will be taken into consideration, emailed request will not be considered)

7-9 Grade Program 2025-2026

Due to gym availability, we can not guarantee this League this year. We may be able to have some type of program, please fill out in interest registration form.
